10 Miles North of Denver
Internist needs dedicated NP for Office & Hospital
Practice.
The following should give you a good
idea of the type of person we are looking for:
1. Most importantly, we want someone who is looking to be stable in
one job for several years.
2. We are a 20 year long practice. We see patients in our office at
9141 Grant Street in Thornton. We also see a significant number of in-patients
at a local
Rehab Hospital everyday. The NP will be expected to examine and treat
about 60 patients a week in the office. S/he will also be making rounds
at the rehab
hospital with me everyday. That means about 30 in-patients to be examined
and their notes written everyday.
3. The NP will be the primary person dictating all H&Ps and Discharge
Summaries at the hospital.
4. The NP will take calls in the evenings and on weekends. I will always
be available for the NP to consult in person or over the phone. When I
go out of
town, there will be a cross-covering physician for back up.
5. We are in the process of switching completely to EMRs. We also do
our own billing. At present, there are 3 other employees [apart from me]
doing all the
computer work. The NP will need to be well versed with PCs, Palmtops
and the computer technology in general.
6. The person needs to have strong team-work ethics. That means helping
the front-desk or the billing folks when needed.
We are a generous employer for hard working and stable employees. We
pay all of the cost of health insurance for the employees after the first
90 days. Our
salaries are competitive and in line with the geographic/local salaries
for NPs [usually on the higher side]. Retirement Benefits and Profit-sharing
Plans have always been a part of our practice.
