Orthopaedic Practice seeks to add a full-time PA or NP to work directly
with a General Orthopaedic Surgeon. Procedures performed include:
arthroscopic surgery, shoulder and knees, minimal invasive total joints
and athletic injury. The new PA/NP would eventually run an Orthopaedic
Clinic. The group has a state-of-the-art PT Center (including therapy
pool). The PA/NP would spend one day in the OR performing first assist.
. Responsibilities include: H&P's, patient evaluation and education,
refers for diagnostic treatment, first assist, review lab results, cortisone
injections, treat basic fractures, hospital rounds, casting and splinting
within a clinic setting. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified
and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. There is no call
coverage and there is some weekend rounding. The practice will train
a bright and hard working new graduate. They would prefer candidates
that have ties to the upstate New York area. The location is near
the Canadian Border and close to the St. Lawrence River area. The
new PA/NP will enjoy great fishing and boating, low cost of living and
all the amenities of a great area!
Compensation: $65k to $72k (entry level), plus bonus program.
